What carnivore and ketogenic diets actually do.

Carnivore and ketogenic eating have real evidence behind them. They also have a lot of noise around them. We report what the trials and the metabolic markers actually show, then get to the practical part: what it costs, what to buy, and what to change when something goes wrong.

These diets are not for everyone.

A ketogenic or carnivore diet is a narrow diet, and a four-food elimination protocol is narrower still. Type 1 diabetes, pregnancy or breastfeeding, chronic kidney disease, warfarin, and a history of disordered eating are all reasons to work with a clinician instead of a website. Nothing here is medical advice.
